Having been born and raised in Whitebridge, with a hiatus away to study and work, I returned to the Strath with my family and have been a resident here again since 1997. This has provided me with a true understanding and insight into the complexities and challenges of living in a rural community. I felt inspired to join the board of SFCT, having seen the changes our community has already benefitted from, whilst embracing the many opportunities available to us for years to come.

My career history involves over 35 years in the NHS as a Staff nurse in both adult and paediatric care. I also spent some time working in Children & Family Social work, Child Psychiatry and Drug & Alcohol Services. Unfortunately, due to chronic health issues, I had to medically retire in 2015. Over the years I have spent a lot of time on various charity and fundraising committees, and am presently a member of ‘The Knockie Fund’.

This is an exciting and innovative time for our community, with many opportunities open to residents. Currently, I am a member of the ‘Events’ committee within SFCT, and would really like to see an increase in cohesive working amongst the very many groups and activities in our area. We are very lucky to live in such a beautiful area and working together will surely benefit us all.

Please feel free to contact me if I can be of any assistance.
