BOARD MEETING
There was another mammoth meeting of the SFCT Board this week with meaty discussions on several subjects over three hours! With the Community Action Plan due we’ve been preparing behind the scenes how to monitor those projects are on time and budget, how we communicate activity to all Board members, community members and stakeholders, ensuring how tasks are allocated and getting things done. It feels like a complicated knitting pattern but hopefully it will be seamless and engaging as projects develop.
By the beginning of September we hope to update our Projects section on the website every week – check out the latest developments added this week.
We value your feedback to guide the Trust Board where to put our resources to improve future events. Here is a sample of your feedback on the recent Mini Gala

FOYERS BAY
The button has been pressed on making the planning application, but a few surveys are required to accompany that. Details here Foyers Bay | Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust (stratherrickcommunity.org.uk)
THE WILDSIDE CENTRE
We are finalising the rental prices for the areas around and inside the Wildside Centre. Now the area has been grassed, benches put in and wifi access made available in the outside area (so you can enjoy the sun and work/play at the same time) it’s time to focus on further developments outside the Wildside. How you can get involved is here.

ERROGIE CHURCH
Following the Wildside Development the Errogie Church Project is moving forward leaps and bounds. The Community Steering Group has been very engaging on this project and that has been reflected by funders excitement on what to expect. THE FINAL COUNTDOWN
As we cement our Project Management Team, I am pleased to announce we have a new Finance Officer. Carlene Vincent joins us mid-August and hopefully we will share more about her over the coming months. Succession planning is very important and Frank Ellam will continue to support this role for some time yet, after which he deserves some long-time relaxation. Hopefully we will keep you informed every step of the way.
