Who are we and what do we do?

Tell us a little bit about yourself?

I’m Jillian and have been in my role with SFCT for just over a year.  I have recently applied for the PR & Marketing role which I am now delighted to share with Calum!

I am born and bred Stratherrick!  I attended the local school when I was young, and I am very grateful my own children are now doing the same.  I am determined to help support the community with all aspects of communication and hopefully over the coming years we will get much better at it!

What does life as the PR & Marketing Officer for SFCT involve?

Well.....a lot of website work, producing newsletters and magazines, interacting with community groups to gather information, social media, organising events such as Winter Wonderland.....and lots more but that’s plenty for 11 hours a week.

What’s next on your list?

I have just hit the sent button on all the Autumn Magazine content being transformed into the magazine.  Next it will be AGM planning, Winter Wonderland, as well as sorting the website out as there has been a lot of work done on this behind the scenes and is still a working progress, so please bear with us.

What personal interests do you have that cross over with your work for the Trust?

Well as a mum, I am busy with other Community groups such as the Baby & Toddler Group and Stratherrick Nursery and Parent Council.  It all links into my day to day workings and sorry for pestering everyone for information for magazines and the website but it is so important to share the amazing things that are happening in the community!

Jillian’s working hours are generally Tuesday’s & Wednesday’s
