Do you meet the criteria for this Β£106 Winter Payment from Highland Council?

Highland Council’s Inverness Area Winter Payment for 2023 is £106.  If you meet the criteria, the payment is made direct into your bank account.  There is only one payment possible per household.

The closing date is 29 February 2024.  Although the eligibility criteria are rather complex, the application process is easy.

 

Here are the scheme’s Guidance Notes

The Inverness Winter Payment Scheme extends to people who live in Aird and Loch Ness, Inverness West, Inverness Central, Inverness Ness-side, Inverness Millburn, Culloden and Ardersier and Inverness South.

If you live in one of these areas and believe you may be eligible you are invited to apply for a payment as soon as possible, and no later than 29th February 2024.

 

Fill in this form if any of the following apply to you:

  • You will be aged 90 or older on or before 29th February 2024 irrespective of savings.
  • You received a Scottish Welfare Fund Crisis Grant Payment between 1st December 2023 and 29th February 2024, irrespective of savings or earnings.
  • You receive Pension Credit (Guarantee Credit).
  • You have a child/children under the age of five living with you and you must be in receipt of Income Support; Income Based Jobseekers Allowance; Universal Credit; or Income Related Employment and Support Allowance.
  • You receive: - Pension Credit (Savings Credit); - Income Support; - Universal Credit; - Income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance; - Income-related Employment and Support Allowance; or - Incapacity Benefit; and you must also have: someone who lives in your household receiving: - Attendance Allowance; - middle-rate or higher-rate Disability Living Allowance (care component); - a War Widow’s or War Widower’s Pension; - a Personal Independence Payment (daily living component); or - a Adult Disability Payment (daily living component); or - an Armed Forces Independence Payment.
  • Also, you must confirm nobody living in your home has earned a wage either now or in the previous calendar month or has savings and investments of more than £6,000.
  • This does not apply if you will be aged 90 or over on or before 29th February 2024 or if you received a Scottish Welfare Fund Crisis Grant Payment between 1st December 2023 and 29th February 2024.
