After last nights Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust Annual General Meeting at the Wildside Centre (on 29th November) Catriona Fraser became Chair of the Trust and Maureen McGuire Vice Chair.  They replace Gareth Jones as Chair and Catriona was Vice Chair.  Gareth was thanked for his time as Chair.

At the AGM Kirsty Balfour stood down as a Director.  Mark Sutherland was co-opted as a Board Director and Craig Lightbody as Community Council Liaison Director.  Your other Board Members are Chris Gerkhe, Malcolm Sutherland, Susan Greer, Ken Sinclair, Maire Brown and Gareth Jones.

At the AGM the annual accounts were presented by Finance Officer Fiona Mustarde.  Fiona was thanked by the meeting for her comprehensive report.

Gareth Jones reported on activities for the financial year 2022-2023 and the vision now and for the future.  Chris Gerkhe reported on how the Trust had supported the Inverfarigaig Residents Association to take forward their ideas and encourage others to do so.  Malcolm Stewart explained the work being done at Foyers Bay before the installation of the slipway next year.  Ken Sinclair and Maureen McGuire gave more insight into the legacy funds. Catriona Fraser explained the work the Knockie Trust Fund had undertaken on supporting people in the area over the last two years. Kirsty Balfour explained in detail the challenges of childcare and the school face and the work the trust had done on after school care. In answers to questions Gareth reported on work done on affordable housing, after school child care and announced funding for community transport the Trust has just received from Highland Council.

Thans were made to Marie Keenan our previous Finance Officer and Laura Walker Knowles who is leaving the Trust after seven years as the Admin Officer.  The AGM were introduced to Kirsteen Campbell who is her replacement.  He also thanked Kirsty Balfour for her service as a Board Director as she is standing down this year.
