There is no stopping Lewis Camanachd’s winning streak in MOWI North Division 2. Another confident win last Saturday saw the islanders take two points from Lochcarron at Shawbost winning by five goals to nil. The first ten minutes of the game set the tone, with the Leodsachs up by two goals.

Looking at the league places, leaders Lochcarron had a great advantage a few weeks ago, but it has been slipping away. There are five teams now chasing Lochcarron and the league title is still up for grabs.

Looking to this Saturday’s fixtures, Lochcarron has no game, so the Lewis can go top on goal difference if they beat Kilmallie at Caol’s Canal Park with a 3pm throw up. It is nip and tuck for the other three fixtures this coming weekend. Boleskine has Cabers at Smith Park, Inverarnie at 2pm while Aberdeen University should be able to score against Strathglass at Bridge of Don at 2pm. The bottom the table match at high noon at the Bught will see out-of-form Inverness Colts and Lochaber squabble for a couple of points which both really need to keep off the bottom of the table, where every point matters too.
