WILDSIDE LANDSCAPING DESIGN TEAM UPDATE!
Monday, 29 March 2021
We held our first group meeting last monday with over 14 contributors, some were present and some submitted ideas! We would like to say a massive thank you for all the ideas, and the great news is that many are relatively similar in nature!
We have 4 priorites to get the ball rolling and get the grounds 'Summer ready!'
- Priority 1 is to turf the flat lawn area to the left-hand side of the building ASAP, so that there is an open green space that can be set up with benches for picnics etc.
- The second priority is to purchase a few picnic benches for the lawn and river areas.
- The third priority is to clear the broom/gorse area at the fence line below the Petanque court which will open up the view and unearth a large level space.
- Lastly, Tony and Kirsty will look at researching a local landscape designer and see if we can put our initial ideas on paper and if they can draft up some potential future plans, which will be a step by step process and capture further ideas that will have been submitted throughout the Community Action Plan process.
You will find a presentation here which contains all of the ideas submitted so far and some photos of the grounds if you are not quite sure what the grounds look like. If you have anything else you would like to add or suggest, or if you would like to be actively involved with the group then please contact kirsty-dir@sfctrust.org.uk or jillian-dir@sfctrust.org.uk.
