We are well into Autumn now and crisp Autumn walks are a favourite! A perfect chance to capture the beauty of the amazing surroundings we are so fortunate to live in! The Pathways Group have brought us another local walk for us to try, have a go at Meall Donn. If you happen to capture any images while you take on any of the walks on the Walk to Walk page then please email communications@sfctrust.org.uk and we can share them with the Community!
Meall Donn
This is a great up and back route which gives you fantastic views of Loch Mhor and beyond. The first part of the route is on road before you follow a grassy track, a hill track and then if you wish through heather to a trig point. Fairly flat to begin, the route then starts to climb with the last part being moderately challenging.
6.55miles. Moderate

Description
Park at Errogie Church and follow the road towards Torness. Turn right at the junction marked Farraline Estate and walk along the road beside Loch Mhor, past Farraline House until you reach the farm. Walk through the farmyard and you will see a grassy track on your right. Follow this track until you reach a clump of trees on the right with a gate on your left. Go through the gate and simply follow this track along and up the hillside. When the track ends, head left, up through the heather to the trig point. On a clear day, the views are simply stunning. Retrace your steps back to the car.
