FIVE THINGS FOR A FRIDAY

TOILETS ARE GO

Very pleased to see the new toilets at Foyers start getting built. This is a project that has been around for 15 years and the Community Council and Trust took it on as a joint project a few years ago. It has really been driven by the Community Council and is a great example of how when bodies work together things get done. There have been many challenges along the way, as with any build project, not helped by the escalating costs of materials. There will probably be a few challenges as it is being built but it is great to see contractors on the ground. Well done to all involved.

AGM PREPARATION

Emails have been flying here and there, printing has been arranged and plans are afoot for the forthcoming Trust AGM. It takes place on 23^rd November in the Wildside Centre and I’m looking forward to seeing you all there. We are also on the look out for new directors and if it is of interest why not have a chat with one of the current Board Members. DIARY DATES

As we get to the end of the year it’s getting harder to find diary dates that suit everyone! Some may have to wait until the new year as we have meetings and events for steering groups, the Trust Board, Pulse Survey, the Trust AGM, Board Team Building Day, Fireworks, Remembrance Sunday, Place Planning sessions, Winter Wonderland, opening of the Stratherrick Hall and more! We all have to fit Christmas Shopping into that too!

COST OF LIVING

We are doing our best at a local level to help people this winter which will be announced in November and December. Meantime here is a link from Scottish Government with help you can get now Cost of living crisis - Cost of Living Support Scotland (campaign.gov.scot)

NEW STAFF MEMBER

I’d like to welcome new staff member Matthew Rhodes as our new Buildings and Facilities Officer. He will be starting his induction next week and then up and running from the second week of November. We welcome Matthew to the team.
