Facebook Statement
Tuesday, 27 August 2024
Facebook has become an invaluable tool for sharing information, publicising events & activities and discussing opinions on a wide range of topics. In general, this is carried out in a positive and amicable manner. Unfortunately, on occasion, such discussions can become heated and borders on bullying or abuse.
On behalf of all the Directors on the Board of Stratherrick & Foyers Community Trust, Trust staff and community volunteers, please can we politely remind you that:
- All comments on Facebook should be courteous towards other community members
- Concerns regarding ongoing projects or activities can be raised through the appropriate channels (attending steering group/ community council meetings or the SFCT AGM) or by emailing the relevant contact. If in doubt, please email admin@sfctrust.org.uk
- All Directors and steering group members are volunteers. Each community member who has taken on this responsibility does so as they feel they have something positive to give to their community to help improve where we live. You are welcome to stand as a Director or join a project steering group if you feel you have something to offer or would like your opinion heard. Again, please contact admin@sfctrust.org.uk if you would like to get involved.
Thank you
