A DAY IN THE LIFE…

This week I took a trip to the Highlands.  Popped into Foyers Shop to collect a key and see how the their coffee morning had gone having lent them a marquee for the event (they had already put it back in order, which was nice!), started a test dig on land that we hope to purchase, met up with staff who use the Wildside on a Wednesday alongside other members of the community using the facility, checked off the launch of the Community Housing Survey, a brief chat with a director and contractor regarding lighting and checked out our new toilet seats, met another Director to discuss how we evaluate impact of projects, met contractors who are looking at the heating and lighting systems in our buildings to save money on our bills, caught up with the Paths Group who have done a fantastic job identifying areas for walking, running, cycling and horse riding and discussed next steps, one meeting was cancelled (phew!), went to a local business to discuss a proposal for the winter and, seeing as there were no evening meetings headed home for the day.  At the same time there was a flurry of activity by staff and volunteers around me which was amazing to see.  It’s just a day, usually without a laptop in sight, but a good one.
