Community Development - help shape a review of the Scottish Governmentโ€™s rural community interventions
Wednesday, 23 April 2025

Are you interested in community development in the Highlands and want to help shape a review of the Scottish Government’s rural community interventions?

The team are looking for people who are based and/or work in the Highlands to join them for an online workshop. This is part of a wider Scottish Government funded review of three core elements of their funding and support for rural communities: Community Led Local Development, Scottish Rural Action and the Scottish Rural Network.

This review is being led by a research team at SRUC (Scotland's Rural College), Ipsos and the University of the Highlands & Islands (UHI, Perth).

These workshops will help inform their research in rural and island places across Scotland. Communities and organisations based in other parts of rural Scotland will also get a chance to feed into this review. You can find out more about how you can get involved here

The group are holding a day time and evening workshop option and in Highland these will be Wednesday 23 April 6 - 7 pm or Friday 25 April 1 - 2 pm

There is also an additional workshop on Wednesday 30 April at 1 - 2pm open to all the selected areas to join.
