Welcome to the Stratherrick and Foyers Community Trust new website. This has been developed by a team of volunteers, supported by web designer Plexus. It is six months work and part of a willing intent by the Community Trust Directors to improve communication to our wider community. The website will develop further over time but we are pleased to see it finally launched for you to check at your leisure.
Alongside the website is the monthly newsletter and twice yearly magazine. All are accessible to the community. You can also join us on facebook and twitter if you enjoy social media. If you want to know more about the work of the community volunteers leading on projects as part of the Community Trust then you can also become a member and get access to further email communications and updates. You can be one of those volunteers and get more engaged with projects that interest you or that you can bring your skills and knowledge to. The website has several buttons to press to get actively involved if you so wish. Or you can simply ask a question to one of the Board leads via email. Check the Question and Answer section first as most questions that have been asked may have an answer there.
We hope to share as much as we can about the journey of decision making. Each month the Directors meet face to face and have an honest and frank exchange of views which reflect many of the comments made by individuals across the community. A consensus is generally reached and a way forward agreed. We hope to capture those decisions here for each project we undertake in our news stories. From previous community consultations we are aware of what some of those projects already are but expect the recent Community Futures Survey to shed more light on them and future projects.
The response to the recent survey has been fantastic and a reflection of our community needs and wants. This piece of work, which is still ongoing, will provide the cornerstone of everything we do. Thank you to everyone who has participated thus far. The information will really guide the Directors of the Trust when decisions are being made and a balance is being decided upon. Please keep checking the website for regular news updates on your favourite projects. Along with this website, we hope you will enjoy them for many years to come.
