FIVE THINGS FOR A FRIDAY
SAD NEWS
I’m sad to announce that Steven Watson, our Community Liaison Officer, will be retiring in March. He is our longest serving member of staff and has been a fabulous asset to the community of Stratherrick and Foyers and the Trust. Thanks for everything you do Steven. More news over the next few months.
POLYCRUB SUNDAY SOCIAL
The Inverfariaig Polycrub is proving a hit with that community but the one based at Whitebridge needs some tender loving care. It’s all ready to go thanks to our staff members and can be used my community members, community groups and businesses interested in local produce. Read more here
Great to hear the talk on Eagles at the Wildside Centre yesterday was well received. Watch out for this talk on how to cook pheasant from the South Loch Ness Rural Communities on 29th February
FUNDING
We’ve been spending some money this week on projects that have been supported by external funding from our fundraisers. Support for playparks, landscaping, bio diversity, transport and clay pigeon shooting amongst others! I’m sure you will fid out more on the website and in the next magazine over the coming weeks – the deadline for articles is due soon
BOOK THE COMMUNITY VAN
You can now book the community van to move your items if it is available. It is at a low cost. Our staff will drive but you can load and unload your items. Details here
HOW MUCH WOOD WOULD A WOOD CHUCK CHUCK
We have been taking advantage of trees that got blown over in the wind at Wildside, felling at Inverfarigaig and wood purchased to have stocks of wood for treating throughout the year for next winter. Details coming soon about collections.
I am off for three days holiday to recharge the batteries but be here next Friday for some more updates!
