RIVERSIDE FIELD
Let us work backwards, shall we. We are ending the week sharing with the Riverside Steering Group the latest update on Planning. A revised Masterplan has been submitted and will be on the Local Authority Planning Portal soon.
BROADBAND
The magazine article on Broadband is both simple to understand but quite technical to produce. Do take time to read it so you know your options in the local area and what impact the broadband, initiated by the community via the Trust, has had – particularly during Covid and lockdown.
LEASE AND LEGAL AGREEMENTS
We have been signing off on agreements with Highland Council, grant agreements, how we intend to work with the Community Council on the toilet project, lease agreements with the Community Council, land purchases from Forestry, lease agreements on that land, preparing for potential land transfers, potential Broadband agreements and agreeing on contracts with Errogie Church architects and more this week. Eyes are becoming a bit blurry! The devil is always in the detail but thankfully many people are taking the week off next week so we have time to digest it all!
WINTER DAYS OUT
We will be welcoming our local MSP to the Wildside this winter, details are going to coming your way soon about the Trust AGM on Wednesday 24th November, put a provisional date in your diary as we launch the Community Action Plan in mid-November (TBC) and the Winter Wonderland in December. All the preparation work is happening now – in between contract agreements!
COMMUNITY ACTION PLAN
I met with Nick first thing Monday morning to go through Action Sheets for the Community Action Plan which we hope will be a starting point for the community to take ideas forward in a pro-active way. Prep work, as you can see, is being done to hit the ground running with lots to do before the summer of 2022. We are hoping to have an event mid-November to reveal all in person. Edging on the side of caution, as we have had to do throughout the CAP process, do keep checking updates as advice around Covid may change over the winter months. A big thank you to everyone who responded to the Draft Plan – the finished item will be here soon. Then the real work begins!
