Tell us about yourself Calum?
Hi, I’m Calum, the new Marketing Officer at SFCT.
I am resident within the Gorthleck area of the Strath, a place I have called home since moving here in 1997, where I attended Stratherrick Primary School and Inverness Royal Academy.
Since finishing secondary school back in 2008, I have been heavily involved within the arts sector in and around the Highlands, providing sound and lighting equipment for many local events. Recently, this included events closer to home within the Stratherrick & Foyers areas. This involved the creation of Winter Wonderland at Wildside, something I am very proud to be part of.
How do you feel about your new role as Marketing Officer?
I’m excited, and looking forward to it and for the challenges it may bring. I am sure I am joining a great team and It will be good to be involved with the projects within the community.
What would you like to achieve working with SFCT?
Using my skillset and knowledge from my current work, I hope my role will help further develop the profile of SFCT. Technology is a great way of sharing information. Thanks to this new role I hope to catch up with familiar faces, working on new and existing projects with you all, and help welcome new members within the community.
Anything else?
I am a keen drummer and enjoy being involved in the live music scene, attending gigs, theatre shows etc. Having recently recovered from major heart surgery, I am enjoying getting out on my bike.
Calum can be reached via email on marketingofficer@sfctrust.org.uk and his current working hours are flexible being predominately Tuesday's and Thursday's.
