FIVE THINGS FOR A FRIDAY

DAY TRIP TO EDINBURGH

This week we took a day trip to Edinburgh to visit the Errogie architects Simpson and Brown about the Errogie Project.  Over five hours we were presented the findings from their recent consultation and discussing next steps.  All extremely exciting.  They need a few weeks to prepare information for the community.

I CAN DO THAT – ACTION GROUPS BEGIN

Our Community Action Groups began this week with Nick Wright at the helm.  This week we covered Community Life and Nature and Outdoors.  A few outcomes came out of the Action Groups with suggestions on firewood to land purchase to auditing childcare. Notes to follow.  You can still fill out the Skills Survey throughout March and we will let you know how you can get involved https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/SFCSkillsSurvey

NEXT WEEKS ACTION GROUP

Next week we have Transport and Getting About.  Do join us on 16th March at 7pm for an hour on Zoom https://us02web.zoom.us/j/82183281852?pwd=RzJIbnZ6c1ZtTFUzKzFFQVFJSERvUT09

STAFF GET TOGETHER

Like many over the last two or so years we have been ‘out of the office’ or working hybrid – in and out of the office.  This Monday we are all (hopefully) going to meet in the office for the first time and meet with some of our colleagues for the first time too.  It will be a chance to get to know each other and plan for the future.

SOUP TO GO

Why are we in the office?  Well, it is the first birthday of Soup To Go too!  What a great service this is and producing a healthy meal and providing a chance for everyone to meet and chat during what continues, for many, to be a challenging time.  I am looking forward to it.
