5 THINGS FOR A FRIDAY

Q&A FRIDAY

Kirsty Balfour and myself did an online Q&A this week on the Community Action Plan.  We answered questions on Errogie Church, the slipway, Riverside Field and land purchasing.  It was a very productive hour and we hope to do more in the future.  Your next Q&A will be 2nd March at 10am.

ERROGIE CHURCH CONSULTATION

Many of you will have seen information about the upcoming Errogie Church consultation event at The Wildside Centre.  I attended Thursday nights one and there is one this Saturday too. We thought it would be helpful to explain what it is all about.

What is it?

The consultation event is a drop-in session on Saturday 12th February and is open to the whole community.  It will give you the opportunity to chat to members of the team leading the project, members of the Steering Group, and the Architects who are involved in the design.  The project Directors have worked hard with the Steering Group on narrowing down thoughts on the function, design and feel of the building – now it is your turn to have your say!

How does it work?

As mentioned previously, this is a drop-in session.  There will be no scary presentations and no complicated diagrams, this is an opportunity to share ideas and have a blether with other community members.  There will post-it notes for you to scribble on, pictures for you to look at and tea, coffee and biscuits!  Come and join us for 10 minutes or 2 hours!

Why should I attend?

Errogie Church will be a community space that everyone who lives in the strath can use, and we would love to hear your views on the project – good or bad – and it would be great to hear some voices from beyond Errogie!  As well as gathering your thoughts and ideas, the team will be on hand to answer any questions you have, so please come along for a chat, a cuppa and a biscuit!

A reminder of the times and dates:

HIGHLAND VISIT

I was up in the Highlands this week having a chat with our new Fundraisers (more soon), our new Buildings and Facilities Officer and the new staff member at BCC.  It’s great to see so much employment being brought to the area – one of the outcomes of your Community Action Plan.  As this was at the end of the week, when I usually write Five Things For A Friday, it’s been quite a challenge to get this column out this week.  But in a good way!
